This
is a recognition that really makes me proud. The IGFA selects
only six captains from around the world each year to receive this
distinction. It was published in their International Angler magazine
for Jan/Feb 2009.

Captain Keith's dad said that he caught "Fishing" pox at age
two and never recovered! Fishing has been a key part of his life and
led him to become an experienced captain, knowledgeable in all aspects of
saltwater fishing and competent in instructing others in fishing. Capt
Keith has fished Florida's saltwater for over 30 years, with
over fifteen years in the local east Central Florida area, including a mate
and captain on offshore and inshore charter boats. His experience
stretches around the world, having fished around the US, Central and South
America, the South Pacific, and the Indian Ocean.
Captain Keith also has an extensive background in flyfishing,
being raised fishing for trout and salmon in the great Northwest as a youth,
then carrying that experience into Florida in the 70s. He is a
Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor, and can handle
anglers from the novice to the expert.
He now guides the lagoon system and Atlantic waters east of
Orlando, specializing in redfish on the flats, tarpon near shore, and king
mackerel offshore. Often mentioned in television, magazines, and radio
throughout Florida, he is heavily involved with the fishing community and
has one of the top-rated fishing websites in the state.
You can find much more information on Captain Keith's
website www.saocf.com or you can contact
him directly at capt-keith@saocf.com.
